Spiderman is a flagship character appearing in countless forms of media including several animated and live action TV and film series.
Spiderman creator gave him superhuman powers that make him a superhero with magic strength. His muscular physique body can produce webs from wrists that help him cling to most surface and react to danger quickly with his "spider-sense". His quickened reflexes let him avoid injury during confrontation; his superhuman speed strength, the ability to stick to surface and a heightened ability to sense danger enables him to combat his foes.
John James Rambo is a fictional character in films and novels. The term Rambo is ordinarily used to describe a person who is reckless, disregards orders, uses violence to solve problems, enters dangerous situations alone and is exceptionally tough and aggressive. In Novels and films, he is displayed as a man who wants to stay away from conflict but is willing to do anything to save his friends and people he cares about from any danger. A veteran of the Vietnam war, his muscular physique and a high amount of strength and stamina makes him an expert in surviving in dense forests against a target number of enemies.
Uganda's main opposition leader, Dr. Besigye's defiance campaign is premised on rallying the masses for a civil disobedience in order to bring down the Museveni military dictatorial regime. He argues that if traders can close their business premises, farmers in the countryside stopped selling their food to urban centres, workers laid down their tools, public transporters packed their vehicles etc., the Museveni military regime would crumble within hours. True, if such strategies are adopted with proper coordination and focus the military autocracy would crumble.
Ugandans are yearning for Museveni's departure now more than before and the situation is ripe for such a mass led revolution. However, they are timid and cowards according to USA President elect, Donald Trump's description. They are good at jubilantly welcoming liberators, looting government and private property, lynching members of the defeated government army during violent change of governments.
Throughout the 8 years of the Iddi Amin military rule, less than 1,000 crossed to Tanzania to join other Ugandans who were struggling against Iddi Amin. When the Tanzanian army crossed into Uganda in 1979 still a few Ugandans enlisted for combat but tens of thousands showed up when Kampala fell in early 1979 to jubilantly welcome the 'liberator', to loot and help point out where defeated government soldiers were hiding.
When Museveni took to the bush in 1981, despite the gross atrocities by government soldiers and other security agencies, less than 6,000 Ugandans enlisted to fight during the entire 4 years. It was only when the NRA extended to the western region that its number swelled to slightly less than 20,000 at the time of capturing power in January 1986. Still tens of thousands came out to loot, lynch the 'Anyanyas' and rush for positions in the new political dispensation.
By comparison, Museveni has committed more heinous crimes against Ugandans than Iddi Amin and the Obote II governments. Much as Ugandans are yearning for change, they are not willing to massively come out in civil disobedience to push for regime change. There have been many nasty incidents in the recent past that would have sparked off mass action but they have come to
pass.
This is Museveni's greatest weapon and source of arrogance. He is yet to commit worse heinous crimes against Ugandans and the reaction by Ugandans will remain the same. Desperate Ugandans are looking forward to Dr. Besigye to do the Spiderman or John Rambo and liberate them from the yoke of Museveni's military dictatorship.
INFORMATION IS POWER AND DEFIANCE IS THE WAY TO GO.
