VIDEO: #Museveni is top most promoter of Hima/Tutsi sectarianism - #Uganda #EAC #Rwanda #DRCongo #Tanzania
MUSEVENI IS THE TOP MOST PROMOTER OF HIMA/TUTSI SECTARIANISM
In his New Year's message, Uganda's military dictator shed crocodile tears thus; ".... there are some fools and enemies that spoilt my festive season. I watched a video clip from a certain party where one fool was spewing words that were segregated against Ugandans. Fortunately, these fools that made this statement exposed their faces. We are going to find them, arrest them, and charge them with sectarianism. The police officer will be investigated to establish what he did when the foolery was prevailing." In the said video clip a Muhima man is seen giving a speech to the effect that; ".... I can never let my daughter marry a Mwiru."
The word Mwiru is a singular for the Bairu (a sub-ethnic group of the Banyankole tribe of western Uganda) The Banyankole tribe has the Bairu and Bahima who are cultivators and pastoralists respectively. The difference is similar to that of the Hutu and Tutsi of Rwanda and Burundi. Banyankole folklore has it that they are descendants of Nkya who bore three sons whom he named Kakama, Kahima and Kairu. The descendants of Kakama became rulers, the descendants of Kahima became pastoralists while the descendants of Kairu were condemned to cultivating land and providing hard labour to the descendants of Kakama and Kahima.
Since Museveni blocked the restoration of the Ankole Kingdom, the role of the descendants of Kakama has been assumed by the descendants of Kahima for whom the descendants of Kairu have to serve. Therefore, the term Mwiru has its origin from this folklore and is used derogatorily by the Bahima to refer to most non Hima and in particular the Bairu of Ankole as slaves.
Museveni is fond of referring to a moment in the 1960s when he embarked on sensitizing the Bahima to desist from a nomadic lifestyle. Actually, he was mobilizing them to outcompete the Bairu who were vigorously embracing formal education and modern diary farming. That’s why he vehemently opposed the Ranching Scheme of the 1960s. He postponed that scheme when he took up the fight against the Iddi Amin regime. He recruited Hima/Tutsi into his briefcase FRONASA and by the time Iddi Amin was deposed, he had assembled a formidable predominantly Hima/Tutsi armed group. It is this force that formed the nucleus of his NRA guerrillas.
During the Bush War, he practiced high level sectarianism against the descendants of Kakama and Kairu. Those with Ankole Kingdom royal blood led by Sam Magara were systematically eliminated. The descendants of Kairu from Ankole, Tooro, Kigezi and Buganda were systematically sidelined and eventually eliminated from the top leadership. That is how almost all the Baganda, Batooro, Bakiga and Banyankole Bush War top commanders and political leaders were eliminated.
What about the humiliation of Gen. Muntu while he was the Army Commander by Hima junior army officers led by Rwashande who is now a Brigadier when they panickily stacked up accusing him of being a Mwiru. The NRM is now associated with the descendants of Kahima and the insignificant descendants of Kairu who are happily playing their historical role in the former's kraal.
When he took over power, Museveni knowing that he was to segregate other ethnic communities in favour of the descendants of Kahima, he hastily enacted his so called Sectarian Law not to punish those who practice sectarianism but to silence those who dare to expose state orchestrated sectarianism.
That is why for the last 30+ years, the law has never netted anyone but instead state orchestrated sectarianism is now entrenched. When the wife of Kuteesa called Otafiire a Mwiru and the latter drew a pistol against her, the matter was swept under the carpet by compensating Otafiire with two Hima wives for cross-breeding. That's why in the said video clip a policeman is seen superintending over the sectarian statements. Museveni knows very well that it is a taboo for a Muhima to marry or get married to a Mwiru except in very exceptional circumstances. The man in the video clip is expressing his sincerity which reflects the opinion of almost all Hima/Tutsi including Museveni. Is it a secret that in Uganda Muslims and Christians resent each other in terms of intermarriages???
May be the man in the video clip will be reprimanded for the simple mistake of "exposing his face" because such statements are everywhere in church, drinking joints, market places, public transport, etc. Ugandans have now learnt to live with them because they have no alternative. Hima/Tutsi tell them straight in the face how they are under their political and economic grip.
During the Presidential Elections campaigns of 2016 a similar audio recording went viral on social media in which a Muhima and a Mukiga were having bitter sectarian exchanges. Because a Mukiga, Mbabazi was running for the Presidency, the Muhima added the Bakiga on the list of "human faeces" in reference to all the Bairu. In the same recording the Muhima made it clear that they (Bahima) were ruling Uganda and the Bairu had no space before suggesting that they (Bairu) could as well pack and leave Uganda.
Despite the much acclaimed expertise in tracking down cyber crime offenders, the matter was swept under the carpet. As for Dr. Besigye and others, they have now become immune to the same sectarian attacks. The list of similar incidents is endless but what is clear is that by opting to run a government where almost all its vital sectors are dominated by Hima/Tutsi, Museveni has been the topmost promoter of sectarianism.
From State House, revenue collection, vital parastatals, oil sector, security services, special presidential protection unit, etc., the descendants of Kahima are dominant. They are now being propelled to take up leading positions in the private sector through state inspired land grabbing, unfair business competition, preferential awarding of government tenders, scotch free theft of public resources, ethnically based state scholarships etc.
The other day, for the same reasons, Museveni haphazardly granted Ugandan citizenship to all Banyarwanda on the globe. He is now stuck with them as his security services are preoccupied with arresting and throwing Banyarwanda in the no-mans land of the Uganda/Rwanda Border. His 32 years hold on power has more than ever before divided the country along ethnic lines. The systematic splitting of indigenous communities through the creation of new districts with the sole aim of promoting social and economic division and providing a smoke screen for marauding gun wielding Balalo to get new settlements, is another sinister sectarian design.
Therefore, it is very misleading and opportunistic for Museveni to turn around and claim that he is against sectarianism. You reap what you sow. Nevertheless, it should be seriously noted that the Bahima are a socially good people but they are being used by the selfish clique of MUSEVENISM.
INFORMATION IS POWER AND DEFIANTLY "HITTING ON THE HEAD" IS THE WA TO GO.
