UGANDA: Why we may witness our first Christian terrorist in the boat tragedy

WHY UGANDA MAY WITNESS ITS FIRST CHRISTIAN TERRORIST IN THE BOAT TRAGEDY?

"KAMPALA - The Internal Security Organisation (ISO) is probing the criminal element in the tragedy, where the MV Templar destined to K-Palm Beach Resort in Mukono capsized near Mutima Beach Resort on Saturday, November 24, leading to the loss of 32 lives.  ISO Director General Col. (rtd) Kaka Bagyenda, in an interview with the New Vision, confirmed that a team had been put in place and they had started their investigations.

“We have a team in place that is probing whether there was criminal negligence, political subversion, economic crime and, where possible, terror."

He noted that they were aware that some elements wanted to cash in on the incident and had submitted over sh2b request to the Government to recover the boat.  He noted that the little money that had been requested for salvaging the boat by security agencies was not forthcoming and they were forced to use their operational funds."

New Vision - December 4, 2018.
In Museveni's Uganda, almost every crime is branded terrorism and attributed to Muslims.  This is designed to exploit the global fight on terrorism to suppress political dissent and its associated freedoms of association and assembly.  Consequently, Muslims have been victims of arbitrary kidnaps, arrests, torture, summary execution and detention without trial.

When the boat tragedy struck, it became circumstancially evident that the Police had been bribed to back off from stopping the alleged faulty boat from sailing.

         "Police stopped the boat owners from sailing but they overpowered the Police. Sometimes when you are a law enforcement officer and you are faced with a situation of mob justice, you should step back...,”
Asumani Mugenyi, POLICE
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

It also became clear that the regime agencies that are responsible for the regulation of public transport had also failed in their role.  As usual, Museveni rushed to issue a statement that confirms this argument thus;

         "According to preliminary information from the security services, this, apparently, was a private, unregistered, unlicensed and maybe uninsured boat........It seems the boat was overloaded because whereas it had capacity for 50 people only, it had about 120 passengers on board."

Now that the number of  people who were rescued and dead bodies recovered is less than 60, the big question is where and who are the other over 60 people who qualified the boat to be overloaded.  Ugandans need answers.  To evade  giving these answers, the regime is as usual attempting to link the tragedy to the usual scapegoat, terrorism.  However, this line of investigations may this time not  point to the usual suspects, the Muslims.  Instead, according to Museveni the deceased Christian couple ((Templar and Sheilla) who owned that boat may be found culpable of suicide killing thus;

           "Obviously, the operators of this boat will be charged with criminal negligence and manslaughter, if they have not already been punished for their mistake by dying in the accident.

May the souls of all those departed rest in peace.
YOWERI K. MUSEVENI
PRESIDENT"

On the contrary, a prudent criminal investigator would zero on those "elements" who had allegedly requisitioned for 2b shillings from government to retrieve the accident board from the waters.  Obviously, the so called "elements" are the usual blood suckers in the government agencies.

INFORMATION IS POWER AND THE PROBLEN OF UGANDA IS MUSEVENISM
