UGANDA: MUSEVENI PUNISHES MINISTER KIWANDA FOR FAILING HIS KALIISA KARANGWA

CHANGE OF GUARDS - In furtherance of his sinister design to destroy Buganda, Museveni moved to have a Munyarwanda Moses Kaliisa Karangwa replace Hajji Nadduli as the CEC Vice Chairman for the so-called Central Region. In order to give Karangwa an edge, he ordered Hajji Nadduli to stay out of the race. However, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda who is his Minister of Tourism and the M.P for Mityana North constituency remained in the race. During the so-called elections, NRM party delegates in Kiwanda's constituency supported his rival Kaliisa Karangwa. This is because Mityana North constituency is a Banyarwanda stronghold. They settled in the area before independence to work on tea plantations when John Nagenda's father ferried them from Rwanda where he had gone for evangelism. The 2017 presidential Elections in Rwanda was contested by a born of Mityana Frank Habineza of the Rwanda Democratic Green Party. 

DespIte the heavily loaded voter bribery by Museveni's Kaliisa Karangwa, Hon. Kiwanda defeated him.  Karangwa was branded a Munyarwanda and a leading land grabber. Driven by anger and disappointment out of that loss, Museveni moved to punish Kiwanda by coercing the latter into relinquishing his parliamentary re-election bid for the Mityana North Constituency. That is why Hon. Kiwanda who had already embarked on campaigning for re-election had to shed tears when he was announcing his withdraw from the race. 

Don't be deceived, Museveni has tactically destroyed Hon. Kiwanda's political career. For those in doubt, please watch the space.
