If you are reading this post, it is likely because you read most of the work done by my team. We run the blog changeofguards.blogspot.com from which you can get insightful fact based researched analysis on politics and security for Uganda and the EAC region.
I also run a personal blog nangalama.blogspot.com on which you find breaking news and my own analysis of issues affecting Uganda.
We are a team of maybe 6 to 8 people. Some are lawyers, some are army analysts and former Intel officers. We have journalists. All these people who contribute to the information my team brings to your attention need money for rent, food, school fees for their kids, other living expenses, medical expenses, data, airtime, etc...
This pandemic has affected many of us. Our income is reduced. Our businesses are dead. Even, I am one of a likely job loser soon. So, I will not be able to pay my team if I do not get financial help from you the reader. Every little bit helps. You can support our team by sending money via PayPal to mlnangalama@yahoo.com. I will account for every penny.
If you do not have Paypal, I will give you a mobile money number in Uganda where you can send even Sh. 5,000 because every little bit helps. However, I really suggest that you send $25 as a minimum. You see, if you do not help the people who write for you, the media who are independent, the bloggers, the activists, the people who try to sound an alarm of reason, you are shooting yourself in the foot.
Some of you have seen me sharing Donations I made to key media I subscribe to and from whom I automatically get information to share for Uganda. I did not do this because I am a fool. I did it because I know the power of information. I know the hard work they go through. I know how much it costs for them to retain researchers, analysts and writers. I know the danger their journalists go through to inform the world. The whole journalism field has become so dangerous that people even get killed for sharing information.
It is up to you. If you appreciate our work, then help us to remain in business. Without your help, in a month or two, we will go offline and I wonder how that will feel for you. You will end up just reading Bukedde and Redpepper and not know the plans Posiko has in mind for Uganda.
By the way, the kids are not returning to school till April 2021. That will have been 14 months of no school. How is that working out for your children?
And those of you who accuse me of being paid by Posiko are a bit foolish. Since when have I ever been paid by Uganda or anyone in Uganda? Not all of us can be bought. Our voices are not for sale. As long as the readers help us to pay our bills. It is nothing for Museveni to pay me to take down both blogs. The man prints cash. He prints pounds, euros and dollars. Would you like that? It is not like you are paying for air. I have a solid CV and here is a link. https://www.linkedin.com/in/martha-leah-nangalama-73035741/
You can also buy our book if you do not wanna help my team. The book is on Amazon and here is the link: https://www.amazon.ca/Art-Invading-Ruling-1/dp/0578636166 We have 8 books and only one is in print now but the other 7 are going to be released along the way.
Thank you.
MLN
