MUSEVENI 'BLAMES' HIS SECURITY GOONS FOR NOT BLINDING BOBI WINE

“…… I also disapprove of the method the Police used to break the glass of Bobi Wine’s car. They should have towed the vehicle to wherever they wanted him to be.
Museveni's statement - May 5, 2019.

Last week, Museveni's security goons brutally arrested Hon. Bobi Wine after smashing his car windows. Bobi Wine's arrest was a continuation of the usual routine of suppressing dissent against Museveni's 33 years military dictatorship.

Brutality by Museveni's security goons is the order of the day in Uganda. It targets top active opposition leaders as well as the general population in order to spread fear at the same time to curtail basic freedoms. Consequently, citizens have lost lives while others have been left maimed. In all the incidents, Museveni has always come out to applaud his security good for 'effectively dealing with terrorists'.

In October 2018,  Museveni's security goons were caught on camera brutally kidnapping a citizen, Yusuf Kawooya in Kampala. A few days later on October 23, Museveni penned a congratulatory letter to his security chiefs;
"When I inquired, the concerned people told me that the suspect had bitten him (okuruma). That is very serious because some of the [suspected] criminals have got infectious diseases. Our officer can be infected in that way and that should be an extra charge put on him."

In the same October 23 letter he signed a blank cheque for his security goons to kill rioters;
".......... the police can use live bullets by first firing in the air; but, if the rioters persist, the police will fire directly at the rioters... Therefore, those who speak about this subject should know that rioters, under certain conditions, can be shot legally and can also be beaten legally and legitimately."
The matter was swept under the carpet and Ugandans will never know the identity of those goons.

In August 2018, Museveni ordered his bodyguards to 'decisively deal' with the opposition in Arua. They maimed M.Ps and shot dead Hon. Bobi Wine's driver, Yasin Kawuma. The incident sparked off riots in Kampala before his security goons swung into action with fierce brutality. One of the victims, James Akena, a Photo journalist was caught on camera being beaten to pulp by soldiers. In response, Museveni said that he had got a security brief to the effect that the soldiers had mistaken Photo Journalist for a camera thief. The matter ended there.

In April 2011, Museveni's security goons brutally arrested Dr. Besigye after smashing his car window with a pistol and spraying pepper teargas into his eyes. He went blind before being airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment. The incident was well documented and the culprit, Baaba Arinaitwe identified but the mater ended there.

Therefore, for Museveni to come out and hypocritically attempt to hoodwink Ugandans over the smashing of Hon. Bobi Wine's car is as usual taking Ugandans for fools. Ugandans very well understand that behind the curtain, Museveni is blaming them for not spraying teargas into Bobi's eyes just as had been the case with Dr. Besigye in April 2011. Museveni is only attempting to exonerate himself from future legal proceedings but no way, it's just a matter of time and he will have to account for each and every evil against Ugandans.

INFORMATION IS POWER AND THE PROBLEM OF UGANDA IS MUSEVENISM
