UGANDA: Museveni clears another batch of hostages to clear way for Muhoozi Project

MUSEVENI CLEARS ANOTHER BATCH OF HOSTAGES TO CLEAR WAY FOR THE MUHOOZI PROJECT

CHANGE OF GUARDS - Muhoozi project refers to a well organised scheme by Museveni to have his son, Gen. Muhoozi inherit the presidency.  During his 33 years hold on power, Museveni has been systematically buying time while manoeuvring to groom his son for the presidency.  From suspension of political pluralism, extending his initial four years interim period in 1990 by another six years to 1996, scrapping of the constitutional term limit in 2005, and most recently the violent scrapping of the constitutional age limit.

In the meantime, Museveni smuggled his son into the army through the backdoor.  The son immediately embarked on a journey to building his own power base through the secret recruitment drive of loyal security officers.  Libya's Gaddafi on a visit to Kampala declared at a public function Museveni's son who was at the time a junior officer, a senior officer with the rank of Major.  Since then, Museveni's took his son through rapid specialized military training and promotions.   The son was instrumental in creating the autonomous 10,000+ strong elite special force (SFC) whose sole mandate is to ensure that the Presidency of Uganda will be inherited by Museveni's son.

Questioning for Muhoozi's rapid promotion became treasonable.  When the pressure became unbearable, Museveni hoodwinked Ugandans by taking his son for the current position which is nothing but an induction for the presidency.  With the masses held hostage and opposition political elites sent in disarray, the only remain viable obstacle to the Muhoozi project was the senior army personnel who are clogging the way for the rise of the Muhoozi recruited cream of officers.  However, Museveni has been systematically clearing the way by either sidelining, diverting, grounding and most recently, selectively retiring aged and redundant army Generals who for many years have been held hostage.  Otherwise, let the army tell Ugandans what these retirees have been actively doing for the last decade.

Therefore, as the Muhoozi Project nears full maturity, the Muhoozi Officer cream is taking a more dominant posture within the security forces.  Within the police, following the neutralizing of the Gen. Kalekyezi clique and the subsequent appointment of a Muhoozi General, Sabiiti Muzeyi as the defacto police chief, the sky is now the limit.

Therefore, the so-called retirement of another batch of soldiers including 19 Generals this week, is in the same regard and more is in the offing.

INFORMATION IS POWER AND THE PROBLEM OF UGANDA IS MUSEVENISM
